Those I love, those I have known,
Many of them are elsewhere now.
My connection to them is one of memory.
My connection to them is one of appreciation.
From their viewpoint, they showed me a way
To live in millions of little ways.
What ways of theirs are mine still to know?
And the other ways, are there more ways to grow?
My connection is here and now, though I
Think of them, it is just to know
Them better in what has now become
A dimension beyond this world and yet
As I think of them and think of myself
I can spiritually grow in my present being
To see them better now in my heart
My life’s purpose transcended is where I start.
