Releasing

My lowest point is becoming much higher as I release negative memories and habits from the past.

It is like a new set-point on any other accomplishment.

Improving typing speed.

Increasing endurance.

Learning more words in a new language.

I am learning to apply the strategies and steps to raise other low points which were unconscious habits.

When I find myself returning to a habitual negative memory and the feelings it floods me with, I realize I have the choice to redirect and rewrite my thoughts.

When I find the right statement which exactly describes the low feeling, and this is the crucial step which takes practice, I can reword what I want to hear.

Practicing my new language requires lots of repetition, but every time the memory and feeling is triggered, it actually rewrites my life and changes my feelings and experiences.

No matter how persistent the memory is, no matter how deeply imprinted the negative emotional experience is, I can redirect my life through this process.

I am noticing how I just don’t get so low anymore.

It just stops and I find myself redirecting to happier feelings.

Not Getting Mad and Patience

I am being prepared for a different kind of success and maybe you are, too.

Do you have lots of ideas which you pursue as far as they can take you?

Do you find over and over again, that it is not yet their time?

I have been getting so frustrated for so long that I find I am impatient all the time.

And yet, I am learning that things are proceeding as they are meant to.

My ideas keep expanding, I keep learning new skills, and the whole picture is simply turning out to be a large sum of many parts.

Now that I am beginning to see how so many pieces can come together to make a whole, I am realizing that I do not have to be frustrated.

I can be patient.

Every skill, every step, is a step toward completeness and wholeness.

While I am being prepared, so are all the other elements.

The Universe is large and beneficent and has a much wider, an infinite, view.

I can be patient while the Universe prepares me and all the other elements.

No Resentment, Just Guidance

I found myself reacting to various things and feeling left out.

At the time, I felt I belonged there, but it just wan’t my place.

Now, as things are developing along a completely different path, I realize that rather than being left out, I was being guided in a different direction.

Because it happened so often and so consistently, I really felt like a loner, and even then, decided to like it.

But still, the resentment lingered.

As I have become a deep and consistent and committed listener, I now realize that in order for me to take this path, I had to be able to hear it.

I couldn’t be involved in all the noisy activities of something else and still hear the gentle nurturing and guidance that was coming directly to me.

So now, as I learn even more new skills and practice listening even deeper, more of my path is coming to light.

I still see lots of activities going on that look interesting and useful.

But, I now know that I have a given direction that I am meant to follow.

I Forgive Me

I was feeling a lot of tension and soreness in my stomach and as I thought about it, I recognized the tension from far back in my life.

As I searched for a healing thought, I realized I tensed those muscles whenever I felt I had done something wrong, mainly those little, tiny mistakes.

So I began forgiving myself.

I’ve learned to remind myself that I love me.

I am adding “I forgive me” to ease all those little tensions now, too.

Sometimes it is easier to remember a little tune to bring back the words, so here is a short singable version as well.

For the words and tune to the song, please click "I Forgive Me" song.

No Complaining

No pushing
No regrets
No frustration
No pain
No whining

I am here for  a purpose and I am fulfilling it.

What is it that I need to know to help everyone be free?
(starting with myself!)

What is it that I can do to help everyone everyone be free?
(starting with myself!)

What am I doing?

Relax!

In reality, everything is under the control and guidance of a Beneficent Universe.

I am doing my part and so it everyone else.

I really and truly can trust that fact and that a new practice is emerging and being born all across the world.

Within My Thought

Everything that happens to me takes place within my thought.

Everything for me is shaped by my thought.

When I bring unconscious concepts and practices to light, I can rewrite them.

When I say and think the thoughts which express the best life I can have, I draw it toward me.

I really can truly can trust this and the fact that a new practice is being born.

When I revert to reacting to what is around me, I bring that into my life as well.

So by being conscious and practicing the rewrites I am creating, I am able to give myself the benefit of living and sharing only what is best in the world.

Studies with “HeartMath” show the effects our presence has on others.

We feel the concepts that others bring into the room.

We react and spread more of what someone else believes.

Or, we bring our highest conscious awareness into the room.

Others feel it and then they feel more calm and more compassionate about things that are being discussed.

Watch your emotions and reactions.

Are they the ones you are choosing?

Or are you reacting to someone else?

Within your own thought is the key to changing your life to live consistently from a higher basis.

The Real Resources for Living

Our resources for living are to find as many ways as possible that we can give, and benefit others.

By starting the flow, we allow more ideas and resources to enter us and to be found useful for more people.

Our ideas are the real resources for living.

Living uses resources, and then it replenishes them.

Living is set up in cycles.

Once the flow of service and replenishment is started, people receive appreciation for what they are doing and are able to expand what they can offer.

It is always interesting that service is the key.

If there is someone for whom you can do something, and you do it, then the cycle of living is enacted.

You take the action which you, yourself can choose and direct, and then the Universe recognizes that you are in the flow and it sends you more to do and more appreciation.

Starting with what we have - knowledge, desire, people we know, people we meet for the first time, information, skills - are the outside resources which we have for living.

The one real resource for living is the desire to serve, to uplift, to help, to empower, to love.

Routines and Freedom

Recently, I had the opportunity to help a friend get organized.

Since we all need help on this, I thought I would share the steps we went through.

The first one is to appreciate yourself.

Take the three deep breaths (www.takethreedeepbreaths.blogspot.blog) that let you pause for a moment.

The next one is to begin to create the physical environment within your home that allows you to thrive.

We looked up Flylady’s wonderful site and she downloaded this weeks’ cleaning zone.

It was nice to see that there are only about ten simple steps, very simple ones, to take throughout the entire week in one Zone (There are five zones in every month, which covers the entire house monthly.)

There are also “Missions” to account for special areas or projects.

Then we ran a couple of errands together.

Cooperative living takes away the loneliness and heavy responsibility for everything by yourself, by providing companionship and conversation.

Collaborate with a couple of friends to help you enjoy their conversation while each of you supports the other.  Spend time at each other’s house supporting the house-cleaning.  We are all in the same boat.  No one has to be embarrassed, just helpful to each other.

My friend taped the print-out of the Zones to a wipe board so that each member of the household can participate by doing and checking off the jobs for that week.

When I was raising children, I kept a record on a calendar of the number of jobs each child did and their work was tied directly to a pay-per-job (10 cents/job for the older generation of children, 25 cents/job for the second generation).  When they wanted to buy something, we would estimate how many jobs it would take to buy the toy, piece of clothing, etc., i.e. 30 jobs, 200 hundred jobs, depending on the price.  Everyone grew up with a realistic sense of the value of their work.
For a couple of years, the two younger kids agreed to put the whole year’s work into a jar to save up for a trip to the local RenFaire.   Under that system, each one was able to purchase something which had significant value for them at a yearly family outing.

The next step of organization was to recognize which activities were repetitious.

I contributed that I was able to transform my attitude about repetitious chores when I realized that “dishes were infinite”.  I realized that I indeed had infinity in my life and that I needed to manage my assets of infinity better.

The same applies to laundry.  Do a load every night and fold it and put it away.

One final act of organization was to recognize which clothing currently fits, and to put everything else, a few items at a time, as they appear, into a box.  By moving it out of site and out of the closet, it no longer triggered attention of any kind.

That applies to other “clutter”.  We referred back to Flylady’s guidelines on “clutter”.  I love her fifteen minute rule.

Over time, it is possible to gain new habits.  By building in the routines which support you can free  your mind to do what it is for, to create the wonderful ideas that come to you.

You will be able to give your ideas priority and move yourself into the life you desire by giving yourself the routines that free you.

By the way, I keep up in a general way with my house.  Regarding that, downsizing was the greatest gift I have given myself.  I have much less to take care of, and I am spending almost full time receiving and producing the ideas which so delight me.

OK To Be Me

An internet cafe that I frequent often will happily make any of their coffee drinks in a decaffeinated version for me.

But what I really like to drink is decaffeinated tea, so I carry teabags with me.

I pay for a coffee drink, but then I get hot water for my tea.

Because I did not make myself clear this time, I ended up with a little tiny cup of hot water in a “logo” cup.

As I explained that I wanted hot water for my decaffeinated teabag, I was told that the cafe itself served several kinds of decaffeinated teas.

I was glad to order one and everyone apologized for the misunderstanding, and then I was taken care of.

Little stuff like that often sends me into a mild panic attack, and so I was grateful to get it straightened out and also to find out that I can order what I like when I want to go there.

The sense of loving myself enough to take care of what I actually want is still relatively new to me.

But the Universe has created us as individuals and wants us to express it, even in little things like what we like to drink.

I corrected another little thing earlier today.  My printer order was two-sided instead of single-sided as I had designed it.

It makes a difference to my customers when they are reading something, so I design it with that flow in mind.

I called the printer back and they corrected it so that I was able to return and pick it up during my same errands run.

What I know now:

I no longer have to creatively accommodate someone else’s mistake.

I no longer have to order something that I don’t want in order to get what I do want.

These little misunderstandings which were turned into understandings make me feel good.

It is OK to be who I am.

It is OK to be me.

Manifesting Good

How long does it take to manifest good?

Well, you are always manifesting all the time.

So what proportion of your thoughts are going to support the good in your life and in the world?

If you find yourself reacting to bad news all the time, it is necessary to stop reading about it.

You can always check in from time to time for a short period, but really watch what happens to your mood.

I like to read solution-oriented articles, so I am picky about what feeds into my mind.

There are lots of ways of looking at problems, and the only productive way to my way of thinking is in terms of solutions.

In my daily life, I am not involved with world problems on a grand scale, but I can certainly contribute to solutions in small ways.

As I listen for my purpose, I am led to take the small steps which lead to uplifting society and civilization around me.

As I think about world events, I am led to release them to their greatest possible solutions.

The Universe is inspiring and guiding each one of us when we turn inward to listen.

Manifesting good comes from this.

It is not a corporate method, although many corporate leaders utilize this approach.

You can tell which ones they are by the uplifting work they are doing.

The corporations that are screaming at us through advertising may or may not have a different motivation.

By being attentive to our shifts in feelings when we hear and see what is going on around us, we can begin to monitor and redirect our own thought and feelings.

The more awareness and control we maintain, the more we can direct ourselves toward quiet, sustainable, good and happy thinking.

Then, we will see more consistent good manifesting in our own lives.

Being Sure

You do not have to be sure of yourself to try something out.

You do not have to have a good voice to sing.

You do not have to be good with money to start a business.

You do not have to be in great shape to take a walk.

You do have to want to do it.

You can do it quietly.

Very quietly.

No one has to know.

You can just quietly keep doing the thing you want to do until you get a little more sure of yourself.

But you don’t ever have to push it on someone.

You don’t have to take the loud corporate approach.

People who love what you do will find you.

You will be able to share what you do in a way that is appropriate for you.

I like the fact that I am quietly learning a new skill which I enjoy just for the sake of doing it.

It is a good feeling.

A quiet feeling.
