My Life in New Terms

I love celebrating my divine life.

I am living the life of an immortal, eternal, infinite, harmonious, loved being.

I have no worries.

I turn inward to the great Intelligence and Love of the Universe whenever I need to know something.

That takes me right where I need to be.

I can see it all revealing itself before me.

What a great life I have ahead of me.

I can now see what a great foundation I was building when I look at the challenges I had to face in the past.

I had no idea at the time.

I was just immersed in the struggle.

But I did face the challenges and now the solutions I learned to put together are giving me this amazing new life, full of so many rich freedoms.

When the Kid's Don't Call

When I found myself wishing our adult children would initiate contact with us, and remembered how I was brought up to write weekly letters to both sets of grandparents and generally account for myself to my parents, I had to come up with a different viewpoint.

With electronic communications, there are plenty of ways to be in touch with family members and to have a general sense of their welfare, and also their independence.

So what was I missing?

I finally realized that I was already involved in a second career of my own choosing, and that I had time to devote myself to self-improvement studies as well.

I would never have had the opportunity to do either of those things to the scale that I am, if I were intimately involved with the day to day activities of my adult children and their children.

So, even though I would like to hear from them more often, when I think of them, I simply pause to get a sense of who they are in their highest nature, and then, with that reassurance, I return to my own work and the practice of my own peace.

Through my study, I am gaining a higher understanding for myself of the higher nature of all people, including the ones I know and the ones I don’t know.

I am helped onward in the development of my own work as well, and it is fulfilling for me to see my unlimited opportunities stretching ahead, even as a grandmother.

The Universe is In Charge

No matter how emotionally pulled you are to redirect your children’s lives, let go and let the Universe do it.

The Universe is watching over them just as It is watching over you.

The Universe will connect with them through the unique events It brings into their lives to cultivate their divine awareness.

It has done it for you.

It is doing it for them.

This is the way of Universal Spiritual Law.

It contacts everyone of Its’ creation Itself.

It does it at the exact right moment in their lives.

It doesn’t matter what it looks like to us.

We cultivate our own divine awareness by immersing ourselves in what the Universe has for us to do.

The more we commit our own lives and fill them up doing our unique spiritual work, the more we can trust the Universe’s action in the life of every other human being on the planet, including our children, political leaders, heads of state, and corporate CEO’s.

Even though it doesn’t look like it is heading us in the right direction, it is inevitable that we will all see spiritually.

It is happening in the Universe’s time in It’s way.

Getting Used to My New Life

Even though I have planned for a new location and discovered a new career, it still takes some getting used to.

It is OK to do the things I have wanted to do.

It is OK to discover and overcome difficulties I did not anticipate.

It is OK to be more patient with myself.

It is OK to enjoy what I am doing non-stop.

If I had not had the guts, (i.e. been forced by intolerable circumstances), to design a new life for myself, I would be going down a very different road.

And I did not want any more of that road.

So, here I am in my new life, exploring what it means to be around new people and new places.

I am discovering that I am not tied to my old identity with people I am meeting for the first time.

I am able to respond to new situations from the different base I have given myself.

I can take the time to figure out how to do the new things I am encountering.

It’s OK if things don’t work out the first or several times.

I will just try it again a little later.

Every time a take a step in my new direction, I am amazed.

I am doing it.

It is happening.

Who knows?

I may even get good at this!

The Tractor Beam of the Familiar

Oh, it is strong.

The return to the familiar.

It pulls and tugs.

Even though it has been replaced with something new and better, it activates itself.

When I am happily moving along my new path, something will remind me of the old one.

And then the tractor beam activates.

I have to stop myself to remember why I am here, now, in my new place.

As I do that, the pull recedes, and I move at my new pace, in the new direction which I have chosen.

I am building more and more for myself on new beautiful ground.

I know that as I remain faithful to my new vision, it will continue to fill me with new experiences.

The old ones will have less and less of a place.

My heart and actions will tie me to this new, beautiful one.

Discovering What Is Important...Again

Even as I begin living my lifelong dream, I find I am drawn back to old habits.

I am so used to my old profession, which I enjoyed very much, that I find myself being attracted to locations where I can practice it again.

But wait!

I worked very hard to get to my dream location so I could do my new dream work.

So, what am I doing?

I am reminding myself of what is important to me.

By visiting old locations, I am reminding myself of what was in the past.

And then, I am remembering the effort and rigor and persistence and creativity that it took to change direction.

And that is what is important to me.

I am opening up a new form of expression for myself.

I am making it possible for me to uplift others and to inspire them to find their gift and to do it.

It is easy to line up with who I was.

But it is fulfilling in an entirely different way to be who I am now.

Through My Prison Bars

Through the bars of my prison,
I pushed out the best I could muster.

I know that I did that.
I gave you my best.

And through the bars of their prisons,
I received the best from my parents.

And they, their parents,
And their parents before them.

This is my prayer of forgiveness
To all the long line before me.

I will now accept the very best I was offered.
I will let it predominate in my thought and let it guide my actions.

My struggle to realize my self-worth and to discover my mission
has not only set me free, but all my line both before and after me.

Comfort not Available From Family

There is a comfort beyond what is available from family.

After a tragedy or due to abuse or other reasons, sometimes comfort is not available from family.

However, in your deep identity “within”, there is a Source and a resource for everything.

As you continually identify yourself from within, you will find yourself drawn and directed to live differently.

You will learn skills and find connections and opportunities to give in ways that do not fit your old identity.

Even though it will feel like you are leaving old and familiar territory and practices - which you are - you will find greater and more meaningful connections than you ever felt before.

I don’t now why, but it seems that we need to be forced to let go of old connections in order to face the possibilities of new ones.

When I look back at what I was trying to retrieve, I am amazed at how much more I have now.

From Family to Community

Dealing with the loss of family either through death or children growing up is or can be difficult.

The connections we have made are so intense.

We want reassurance even through new worlds are opening up.

Using the old connection techniques which are no longer available obviously does not work.

The old “give and take” does not work.

What does work is discovering how to give more.

Listening for the unique ways you have to give is the first step.

As you always have something to give, you can then listen for the connections to share it.

Your sense of giving will determine where you are led and how willingly you are received.

It will open the world of your deeper identity.

You will find connections that are totally different from “family”, but which are enduring and appreciative and responsive and deeply fulfilling in other ways.

Every Wonderful, Abundant, Good Thing

It has been eight years since I was propelled to change the direction of my life.

I had to seek out a new course rigorously and diligently.

What I found was so different from what I had been taught.

I learned I could embody the rich life I sought through changing my attitude and practices.

Because what I was taught, even though it was good, had been practiced in a limited way around me, I was living in a good, but limiting way.

Until I learned a deep and individual self-appreciation, I accepted only what others could see about me.

Since giving myself the authority to be the deeply purposeful, creative individual I am, and to explore my gifts, I have enhanced my life one hundred fold.

I have many times more to share and many more ways to share it.

I have become so abundant, and I richly enjoy my new surroundings and my new life.

I am able to lift up others as well as myself as I create and distribute my new product lines and, I am seeing evidence of this daily.

It is a wonderful world to discover.

From the “within”, in its purest and most abundant form, you, too, all of us, have unique and valuable gifts to share in unlimited and unlimiting ways.

We have access to every, wonderful, abundant, good thing.
