Preventing Panic Attacks

A friend shared a valuable practice with me recently.

She gave me the phrase, “Thank you for what you are teaching me through this situation.”

It hit me with a deep healing effect.

For the next several days, I was able to remind myself of this, sometimes chanting it over and over again, whenever I found myself drawn in emotionally.

Gradually, I began to listen to my gratitude for what I was being taught.

What was I being taught?

To my immense surprise, the answer over and over again, was that it was OK for me to be happy.

I didn’t have to solve the situation.

I was not involved in any way.

I had addressed all the issues I was aware of in the best way I knew how at the time.

I was free to move on into my own happiness.

What a gift!

What a great practice!

Thank you for what you are teaching me through this situation.

It prevents tears.

It prevents frustration.

It prevents despair.

It prevents panic.

Thank you for what you are teaching me through this situation.

It is OK for me to be happy.
