Courtesies at the Laundromat

I actually love being at the laundromat (especially if its quiet with no television).

It provides some time for quiet study, in a productive atmosphere.

The people there are ordinary folks.

Some are travelers with big motor homes.

Most are locals.

Everyone is there for the same purpose, just doing their laundry.

A family came in at the same time I did.

The dad stopped and made sure I got through the door with them.

Later, when I was leaving with my folded laundry, he requested one of his children to hold the door for me.

Courtesies define us and lift us up.

I appreciate them every where they happen.
