Keeping My Brother - My Brother's Keeper

How do I look at other people?

Do I evaluate them?

Do I compare myself to them?

Or do I uplift them?

I am either contributing to the world by uplifting the people I see or I am letting the world weigh in on me.

How I keep my brother in thought is how I treat him.

The messages about women are especially disturbing.

We are receiving such a barrage of media messages which lead to evaluation and comparison.

We are placing our children in educational institutions and evaluating them instead of discovering who they are, helping them explore their unique talents, and encouraging them to make a contribution through these talents.

We are struggling to begin to see ourselves in these terms as well.

What a different feeling about ourselves and others is evolving as we progress to this view of being our brother’s keeper.

The world will work very differently as we achieve this.
