In Perpetutiy

What are we passing on to others?

Unconditional, unreasonable love?

How does it makes us feel inside?

Does it give us a sense of calm?

Of freedom?

Of quiet joy?

Of peace?

Does it give us a sense of outrage?

Of self-justification?

Of tension?

Of superiority?

Of victimization?

The balance that we want to share in perpetuity is a sense of unconditional, unreasonable love.

That way, we are untroubled by what appears to be a troublesome situation.

We also allow the other party to make their way towards light and reward and unconditional, unreasonable love.

Everyone needs room to do this.

Cultural Pressure

Even in the midst of the cultural surroundings we have grown up in, there is a voice inside us.

Our voice is both the harmony and the counterpoint to what surrounds us.

Even the dissonance of our voice straining to be heard within ourselves is a guide.

There is a spark within each one of us.

It is united with the spark inside everyone else.

When we listen, when we hear just the whisper, it turns our head to hear where it is coming from.

When we are listening, others turn to watch as we walk by.

It causes the spark in them to flare more intensely.

As we cultivate this spark and let it fan into a flame and burn more and more brightly, it lights our path and inspires those who can see it.

Culturally, we know the vocabulary.

We may be able to live within the culture for a time, while the spark is growing stronger.

We may have to leave and live in cultural isolation for a while.

At some point, we emerge into a new culture.

A new culture begins to shape itself around us.

Our spark becomes light for us and for others.
